Barring the Taj and Agra fort, several historical monuments in Agra turn out to be relatively garbage free and a pleasure to visit

So, I am just back from a three-day delightful trip to Agra with two friends – one of whom is researching her next book on emperor Akbar - and I am in a bit of a shock for all the right reasons.  On the trip I managed to visit the Agra Fort and the TajMahal on the first day, Sikandra, Mariam’s tomb and I’timad-ud-daulah on the second and Fatehpur Sikri and SalimChisti’sdargah on the third, ending with a night in Bharatpur.
