2019 BMW 8-Series Coupe Lands In The UK Priced From £76,270

The new 8-Series has arrived in the United Kingdom, with sales starting from December 1.

UK buyers will get to choose between the M850i xDrive and the diesel-powered 840d xDrive, with more variants to be added in the range later on, including the much anticipated M8.

The entry-level variant of the new 8-Series is the 840d, which uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six diesel with 315hp (320PS) and 580lb-ft (680Nm) of peak torque. BMW claims a 0-62mph (100km/h) in 4.9 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph (250km/h).

The M850i xDrive is powered by the latest twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, kicking out 523hp (530PS) and 553lb-ft (750Nm) of peak torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. 0-62mph (100km/h) comes in 3.7 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155mph (250km/h).

Inside you get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment display as standard, featuring BMW’s Operating System 7.0 that includes features such as an adaptive navigation system, a 20GB multimedia system, Bluetooth, WiFi and more.

Other standard features include a head-up display, Parking Assistant, Integral Active Steering, LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, Black Merino leather upholstery for the seats and more.

The 2019 8-Series starts from £76,270 for the 840d xDrive, while the M850i xDrive starts from £99,525 OTR.
