November GST collections drop below Rs. 1 lakh crore

The total number of summary returns, also known as GSTR 3B filed for the month of October up to 30th November, 2018 stood at 69.6 lakh, as against 67.45 lakh returns filed for September.
The government's goods and services tax collections dropped to Rs. 97,637 crore in the month of November from above Rs. 1 lakh crore in October.

"The total gross GST revenue collected in the month of November, 2018 is Rs. 97,637 crore of which CGST is Rs. 16,812 crore, SGST is Rs. 23,070 crore, IGST is Rs. 49,726 crore (including Rs. 24,133 crore collected on imports) and Cess is Rs. 8,031 crore(including Rs. 842 crore collected on imports)," the Finance Ministry said in an official release Saturday.

The total number of summary returns, also known as GSTR 3B filed for the month of October up to 30th November, 2018 stood at 69.60 lakh.

The government has settled Rs. 18,262 crore to CGST and Rs. 15,704 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. Rs. 11,922 crore has been released to the states as GST compensation for the months of August-September.

The GST collection target for FY19 is set at Rs 13.47 lakh crore. In the first eight months, the collections are at Rs. 6.72 lakh crore.
