Man wanted for shooting, loot arrested

LUCKNOW: A wanted criminal wanted in connection with cases of loot and shooting was arrested on Friday, under the jurisdiction of Bazarkhala police station.


The accused was identified as Rajesh (30), a resident of Motijheel Colony in Bazarkhala. He was carrying a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head. Acting on a tip off, a police team reached Mawaiyya Bridge and saw two persons coming on a motorcycle.


The team asked the two to stop after the informer confirmed their identity. While Rajesh was arrested, his aide Rajendra (29), who was riding pillion, managed to flee.


SHO of Bazarkhala police station, Sujeet Kumar Dubey, said, “During interrogation, Rajesh confessed to committing the crimes.”
