Three held for killing 17-year-old boy

Representative image PUNE: The Hadapsar Police on Thursday night arrested three brothers for murdering a 17-year-old juvenile in conflict with the law over a petty dispute at Manjari Khurd on Wednesday.
A magisterial court on Friday sent Sunny Dinkar Shingare (29) and his brothers Mahesh (28) and Vinod (27) to police custody remand till December 4.
Brandishing a sickle, the minor boy had created a reign of terror in the locality a month after his release on bail from a Mumbai-based observation home.
The Shingare brothers had undertaken construction work at their house at Manjari. On November 27, the minor and his friends visited the construction site and damaged the bricks.
The brothers sought an explanation from the boy for obstructing a construction work and asked him to compensate for the loss suffered by them. However, a heated dispute broke out between them.
Police said the dispute between the two parties turned violent after the boy abused, attacked and threatened them with dire consequences. The trio retaliated in self-defence and attacked the victim with sharp weapons, killing him on the spot.
