A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by a friend following an argument in north-west Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Friday night, the police said on Saturday.
The accused, Rajesh, has been arrested, they said.
Succumbed to injuries
Chandan, from Uttar Pradesh, and a resident of Jahangirpuri, succumbed to injuries at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Aslam Khan said, they received a police control room call at 12.05 a.m. on Saturday from the hospital stating that a man who was admitted with stab injuries has died.
The duo knew each other and had an argument over a petty issue on Friday night, the police said.
The fight was resolved by their friends.
Later, Rajesh returned with a knife and stabbed the victim in the presence of their friends, the police added.
Case registered
“We have registered a case of murder against the accused,” the officer said.
The victim’s body will be handed over to his family after following the post-mortem examination, the police said.
Chandan had recently got married, they added.
