Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Samardha forest range is a beautiful place, in the lap of nature, just 35 kms away from the city from Bhopal. The place is a feast to eyes and soul because of dense green forest, a clear Brooke flowing with a symphonic sound, the surrounding peace and serenity and the purity of ambience.
All these attract the nature lovers to this place. The place was thus visited by 142 students of the Bhopal School of Social Sciences to pave their way through roads untraversed and the stiff mountains yet unexplored.
After reaching Samardha, the trekkers under the guidance of trained coaches, went for a long trek of 7 kms, undertaking various Jamboori activities on their way. The team collected dry woods to lit fire at night and prepare maggi amidst the perfect calm of the night.
On their way back from trekking, the members camped at Samardha Eco tourism Resort where they lit a bonfire and spent the night at a temperature of 9 degree Centigrade. Next morning started activities started at sharp 6 with yoga practise in the company of nature.
The activity of bird watching was interesting and knowledgeable. The students undertook tug of war, archery and obstacle training to inculcate leadership qualities and team management.
The Head, Department of Physical Education, Vishal Singh Sengar informed that activities under the Adventure Cell are specifically designed, planned and executed to reduce stress among students and also to bring them closer to nature.
MP Eco Tourism provides certificates to the participants to motivated them for such adventure trips. Adventure Cell In charge, Nasir Ali informed that the next plan of the cell is Paragliding expedition at Himanchal Pradesh.
