More UT schools update admission schedule

CHANDIGARH: More UT schools uploaded their admission schedule on Thursday. The last day to all details — dates and documents required — regarding entry-level admissions is December 2.

Chitkara International School in Sector 25, Chandigarh, has 120 seats in nursery class for candidates born between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016. Registration forms will be available on their website and can also be collected from the school’s office.

Out of 120 seats on offer, the school has reserved 25% seats for economically weaker sections. Following the common admission schedule, the schools will be giving and receiving forms between December 3 and December 14. The filled forms will have to be deposited at the school with Rs100 registration fees.

The school will be displaying the list of eligible candidates on January 16. A draw of lots for general category will be conducted on January 24.

For candidates belonging to EWS category, the date scheduled to hold draw of lots is January 28.

Meanwhile, St Kabir Public School has 90 seats in nursery class for candidates born between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. Out of the total seats, 20% will be reserved for minority students.

“The school will hold a draw of lots on January 18. The forms will be submitted till December 14,” said Gurpreet Singh Bakshi administrator of the school.

Kids R kids School in Sector 42, Chandigarh, has 60 seats on offer for entrylevel admissions. The school hasn’t yet mentioned a selection process. However, it will rollout a list of the selected students on January 16. The last day of depositing fee will be February 12.

It is mandatory for all schools to mention information —name of the entry class, dates of admission, total number of seats, age requirement, fee structure, admission criteria, documents required and date of draw of lots — on their respective notice boards by December 2.
