We everyday here news of road-rage, one such case came to light on Sunday when a 25-year-old youth was thrashed by two men and allegedly set his motorbike on fire following a minor accident.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the victim is an information technology professional from Dadar and identified as Rahul Gaonkar. The incident took place on Sunday night, Rahul Gaonkar told cops that his bike had merely touched the car, but the two men flew into such a rage that they started thrashing him even when he tried to apologise. Later Rahul fled from the spot and kept looking for his bike for two days.
Later on, Wednesday Rahul approached the cops, that is when he came to know that a bike was found torched some distance from the spot where he was thrashed. It turned out to be his vehicle. Senior inspector Mukund Pawar from Andheri Police Station told the leading daily, “We received a call on Sunday regarding a motorbike that lay burning in the middle of the road.” After which a team of police officials and fire brigade reached the spot. But after two days later cops found the vehicle’s owner had a fight with two people who torched the bike.
