Brisbane nurse killed outside hospital in horror crash
Police are appealing for witnesses to a horror crash that killed a Brisbane nurse at Chermside last Saturday.
Solita Honorio, 52, was leaving The Prince Charles Hospital about 3.45pm when an allegedly speeding drink-driver and crashed into her.
Police allege Ms Honorio’s car was struck by a black BMW sedan travelling westbound at high speed along Hamilton Road.
A 24-year-old woman, who was initially believed to be a driver in the crash, has had a charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle withdrawn.
A 29-year-old man, initially believed to be a passenger, was being questioned further by police.
The Forensic Crash Unit investigation was ongoing.
“Police are appealing to any members of the public who witnessed the incident or who have relevant dash-cam footage to contact police,” a QPS spokesman said.
A memorial service for Ms Honorio was held in Aspley on Thursday night.
