For the occasion, Deepika wore an ivory and gold chikankari Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla sari. Ranveer, meanwhile, sported a Rohit Bal ensemble. The designers posted photographs of the couple on their Instagram and called it "ethereal romance". Deepika's stunning jewellery was designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and crafted by Saboo.
Ranveer recently opened up about his wedding with Deepika in a Filmfare interview. Talking about finally tying the knot after a six-year-long relationship, he said, “I’ve been ready for a while. I was just waiting for Deepika to be ready. It would happen whenever she had decided. I was fully ready and raring to go.”
“I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it,” he added.
Revealing that he knew within the first six months of their relationship that he would marry Deepika, he said, “Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It’s been six years now.”
“I’m lucky to have her. I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children,” he added.
The two got married at Italy’s Lake Como on November 14-15 in traditional Konkani and Sindhi ceremonies.
