At stumps, India A were 248 for 4 from 69 overs with Vijay Shankar on 60 and Shubman Gill on 47.
India A had opted to bat first and got a solid start with R Samarth and Easwaran (56) adding 98 for the opening wicket. India A suffered a mini-collapse then, with pacer Doug Bracewell striking twice. He first had Samarth for 47 and then got No. 3 Ankeet Bawne for 10. Blair Tickner and Lockie Ferguson too struck once each, accounting for Easwaran and Karun Nair (19) respectively.

At 150 for 4, the Indians needed the middle order to step up, and they did. Vijay led the way, striking seven fours and one six in his knock. Shubman Gill too was among the runs, hitting five fours and a six to get close to his half-century.
This is the final unofficial Test of the series, with the first two games ending in draws. The teams will play three one-day matches after this game.
