GURUGRAM: After an average performance, Harpath app has finally picked up some momentum in the district. In October and November, round 1,833 complaints related to civic issues in Gurugram were received on the app. Out of which, over 1,400 complaints were resolved by the concerned civic agency. This also boosted Gurugram’s rating and it has been under the two-star category (districts with less than 10% rejection).
Under the chief minister’s good governance scheme, the state government reviewed the performance of all districts on Tuesday. Sources reveal that Harpath app has been downloaded 47,000 times and around the officials received over 60,000 complaints of potholes in roads across Haryana.
In Gurugram, action was taken in 80% complaints, that is over 1,400 complaints were addressed. In fact, a total of 56% complaints were addressed within 10 days of the receiving the data, reveals the official data.
A star each is allotted for the following criterion: 100% complaints undertaken, less than 10% rejection, redressed within time limit of 10 days and less than 10% complaints reopened.
Among other districts, none of the districts received more than 2 stars for improving the road infrastructure in their jurisdictions. In fact, Mewat lost 3 stars and got only one star this time, and districts Karnal, Fatehabad, Ambala, Panipat, Charkhi Dadri and Jind, each lost one star this time.
Sources reveal that Dr Rakesh Gupta, additional principal secretary to the Haryana chief minister has instructed Gurugram’s additional district commissioner RK Singh to appoint youth to check the streets across district. So the potholed roads can be identified, and the problems can be rectified. Notably, around 505 roads were scanned across Gurugram in last two months, which is only 4% of the total 11,373 roads in the district. Gupta is expected to visit Gurugram in December first week and conduct an inspection of the roads here.
