He managed to lure the woman back to Yarrabah on the promise of employment in his hometown.

Prosecutor Gelma Meoli said Gyemore then led the woman into a tin shed that comprised of a double mattress, unclean floor and items like a washing machine drum.

Gyemore proceeded to force himself onto the woman and anally violated her.

He later sat her on an esky and told the distraught woman he was going to tie her to a tree before killing her.

Rocks, saucepans and the metal drums were thrown at the victim who tried to defend herself.

'She grabbed his [Gyemore's] testicles and squeezed hard,' Ms Meoli said.

Gyemore punched her in the right eye and she blacked out.

The court heard she was left with a fractured wrist, bruises and a loosened tooth.

When the noise woke up his family, Gyemore tried to cover his tracks and dressed the woman in glasses and a t-shirt to hide her injuries.

'You continued the attack, which was brutal, callous, sustained, controlling and relentless,' Judge Dean Morzone said.

He labelled the attack 'prolonged' and as 'purposeful degradation' for the 39-year-old's own sexual 'fulfilment'.

Gyemore was sentenced for nine years, including 341 days time served.
