Luxury sedans and sports cars are taking a hit.
One thing is for certain in the automotive world. Sedans are losing ground to SUVs in a major way. A quick look at overall sales figures for the United States shows that trend in no uncertain terms. We recently looked at the top-selling vehicles through October as listed at Good Car Bad Car, but now we'll see which vehicles aren't doing so well. It probably comes as no great shock to find only sedans and sports cars on this list.
We organized the data and excluded vehicles that were canceled for 2018, as well as extremely low-volume supercars that never sell in big numbers. There are some niche vehicles in the mix – and a few surprise appearances as well – but consider this an accurate compilation of the worst selling mainstream machines in the U.S. through October.
