HYDERABAD: TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said he is not in the race for becoming the Prime Minister and the leader of the anti-BJP front will be decided after a consensus. “We will bring consensus on that. Who is Narendra Modi? Till 2014 he was just a chief minister. He was able to lead BJP to win. Now there are efficient people and able administrators. They will lead”
“I am not expecting any position or any incentive out of this initiative,” said Naidu, adding that the People’s Front was going to win and form government in Telangana.
Naidu also said there was no press freedom in Telangana. “Press is scared to write the facts, this is not right” he said. He accused TRS of playing double-game along with the BJP. “KCR asks BJP to act as if they are beating him then he will cry as if it was real” he said. Justifying his move to form an alliance with the Congress, Naidu said ideologically Congress and TDP do not have any differences. But TDP doesn’t agree with BJP’s ideology. It is a democratic compulsion to join hands with the Congress and save democracy and institutes in the country, he added.
“From the beginning TDP has been fighting against the Congress but now there is a need to fight against the BJP,” he said.
