Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani kick-start 'Good News'

Karan Johar's next production venture Good News has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar have been signed for the film. The movie also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, who have kick-started the shooting of the film on Friday, though, without Akshay and Kareena. 

A Dharma Productions film, Good News will also mark the debut of Raj Mehta as a director. Karan Johar took to his Twitter account to share a cute video of Kiara and Diljit from the first day of the film as it goes on floors. 

The funny video has Diljit and Kiara informing us that the shooting of Good News has begun from today. Diljit asks Kiara if everyone in the crew is on sets, to which Kiara replies saying some of them haven't reached yet. This is when Diljit says that they all must discipline themselves and get used to being on the sets on time, since Akshay always reaches on time and begins shooting as early as 5 or 6 am. 

They add that they miss Akshay and Kareena and are very excited to shoot with them. Diljit Dosanjh too had shared a boomerang video on his Twitter account. Akshay replied writing, "Not just #GoodNews, this is the best news of the day  Joining you guys on set real soon, till then sending my best wishes."

Good News revolves around the story of two couples. One is that of Akshay and Kareena who've been trying to have a baby, but finally opt for IVF. Diljit and Kiara play a newly married couple in the film. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on July 19, 2019.
