The Tamil Nadu Milk Dealers Employees Welfare Association has urged actor Rajinikanth’s fans to not perform milk abhishekams to his cutouts in theatres during the release of the film 2.0. In a statement, Association president S.A. Ponnusamy urged the actor to direct his fans to not waste milk, said a release.
He said that the actor — who is aiming to enter politics to change the way things are — should ensure that he begins the change with his own followers.
“If he starts here, this change will spread through the State and other actors’ fans too will follow suit. After all, milk, which is mainly consumed by children, should not be wasted. We have asked dealers to question unknown customers who buy in bulk, and urge them to use the milk for consumption,” he added.
