President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen just plead guilty to lying to congress about a project to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

And now President Trump says he’s lying.????He reached a plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller for making false statements to the Senate Intelligence committee.????This is the first time that Trump and his private business dealings in Moscow were named in open court as part of the investigation into Russia’s ties to the Trump campaign.??????During his campaign Trump was attempting to build a development in Moscow.

????Cohen, as his point person emailed one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top aides asking for help.

The Washington Post reports this took place in January 2016.????However when speaking to congress in a closed door testimony in 2017, Cohen misrepresented the scope and length of his involvement in the project by saying the project stopped in January 2016.????In his plea, Cohen said that those business dealings continued into the summer of 2016.????Trump has said that he had no business interests in Russia in 2016… here is him speaking at a debate in October of that year.????I don’t deal there I have no businesses there, ????Cohen plead guilty in august to campaign finance violations in relation to making hush money payments to two women claiming to have sex with Trump.??
