Clear pending RoSL dues: Industrialists

Tirupur: Knitwear industrialists in the city have urged the central government to clear rebate on state levies (RoSL) dues which were pending for more than three months.

RoSL was mainly given to compensate the embedded taxes like petroleum products, electricity tax and Mundy tax, which have been excluded under GST. For the apparel exports, the government providing RoSL at rate of 1.7% on freight on board (FOB) value.


“For Tirupur knitwear cluster alone, Rs 105 crore RoSL was pending as it was not released for the last three months,” said Raja M Shanmugham, president, Tirupur exporters’ association. tnn
