UpperCrust Food Wine Show curator Farzana Contractor
Talking about the show, conceptualiser, and curator, Farzana Contractor says, “Over the years the Uppercrust Food & Wine Show has done a marvelous job of establishing the fact that food is the very important thing in our life. And once a year, in these three days we give people a chance to come and actually see, smell and try different food, which you can’t do in gourmet shops or any stores. That is the USP of our show. You get everything under one roof. The whole atmosphere gets very energise and here you bump into chefs, general managers, and foodies. There are a lot of people who come for all the three-days because they feel they can’t do all the shopping and having the food in one day.” She further adds, “In its 16th year the show is still the favourite food shopping place, in spite of the fact that there so many food outlets. It is a calendar event which every foodie just looks forward to.”
The UpperCrust Food Show has an amazing line-up of the top chefs in the Live Kitchen – masterclasses where chefs display their culinary skill and share their recipes, and dishes from a variety of cuisines. “This time we are doing a very special cooking demonstration for children who are in the age group of 5 to 8 years of age,” says Farzana.
