Vadodara: After a gap of eight years, the city will witness an adrenaline rush this Sunday. The grand finale of MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Supercross Championship 2018 will be held at the Akota stadium at 10 am on December 2.

The motocross event has been organized by Shyam Kothari, a seven-time national motorsports champion.


“The first five rounds were held in Cochin, Goa, Coimbatore, Jaipur and Nasik while the final will be in Vadodara. About 150 riders will participate in the finals that will be held on a 800-metre long track,” Kothari said.


Motocross champion from the city Veer Patel, who retired few years ago, will flag off the finale.


The tournament will have eight categories including SX 1, SX 2, Junior SX, Indian Expert Class Group B (two/four stroke), Indian Expert Class (two/four stroke), Expert Class, Novice Class and Locals Class. The track will have 12 double jumps, a cut, tabletop, whoops and berms.
