A total of 250 MW solar PV capacity has been awarded to two winning bidders in two separate auctions by the Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL). The contract to develop 150 MW of grid connected PV projects in Pavagada Solar Park, Tumkur, Karnataka was bagged by Giriraj Renewables. In July 2018, KREDL has tendered 150 MW to be set up in three blocks of 50 MW each. With a winning tariff of Rs 2.92 per kWh, Giriraj Renewables won the entire capacity.
