Jhabua: On one hand, all the people were excited about casting their votes on Wednesday, whereas on other hands, Election Day became a Tragic Day for one of the families of Talawra village.
According to police information, nine year old Toofan Surpal Bhabar, resident of Mahua Sangat (Ravti) came to his grandfather Teeta Maal’s house along with his parents and on the day of voting everyone left him alone in the house to cast their votes but little did they know that it was the last time they are seeing their grandson.
Teeta Maal, along with his family went to Talawda polling booth, whereas, Toofan’s parents went to Mahua Sangat (Rawti) to franchise their votes. Terrible tragedy struck the entire family when Toofan, who was home alone, attempted to fetch drinking water from well but unfortunately slipped and drowned due to which he died on the spot.
After returning home, panic prevailed among the family members on not finding Toofan inside the house and they immediately started looking for him in nearby areas and later found him dead inside a well. His father Surpal took the body out of the well and immediately informed Khwasa outpost about it. Outpost in-charge KS Pandav said, “Postmortem of the body has been done and police are investigating on it.”
