But Patrick O'Connor's wannabe thug tattoo 'Blood and Sand' has been exposed as just a sticker on his back.

The sticker was clearly visible on the 25-year-old star's torso recently during filming for the TV drama.

In a photo taken on the set this week, the tonal differences between the sticker and the River Boy's skin is clear as Patrick carries a surfboard on the beach.

The same can be said for the 'tattoo' high on his left arm, on his triceps muscle.

Home and Away is the handsome star's first acting role.

Meanwhile, Patrick has been shown to be a good sport on the small screen.

During the Channel 7 Telethon 2018 in Perth in October, the actor made Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer dissolve into a fit of giggles.

The 27-year-old let out some laughs after Patrick stripped off his shirt in front of her.

Patrick stood up from his spot at the telethon desk and removed his black button-up shirt, exposing his chiselled abs.

The annual Channel 7 Telethon was held to help raise funds for children with life-threatening diseases.

This year the charity even raised more than $38 million.
