Woman molested by neighbour in Nikol

Representative imageAHMEDABAD: A 38-year-old woman on Tuesday filed a complaint with Nikol police stating that she was allegedly molested by a man she considered brother.
The complainant stated that her husband, who used to run a fabrication business in Vatva, has been suffering from epilepsy for two years.
The woman, a mother of two girls, said that her husband is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
“During the time of crisis, my neighbour Sanjay Parmar offered to take my husband to hospital,” said the woman in the FIR.
“Around six months ago, Parmar called me on my cellphone and asked me to come to a hotel near Naroda.
As I considered him my brother, I went to meet him at the hotel. But there he asked me to have sex with him. When I refused to do that, he threatened to kill my husband and children. Later, he pulled my dupatta and molested me.”
The woman somehow managed to escape from the hotel but Parmar continued to harass her with demands for sex.
On Monday, when the woman went to drop her daughter at her workplace, Parmar stalked her and stopped her.
He abused her and slapped her near Nikol.
When people gathered, Parmar fled. Nikol police have registered a case of molestation and have began the investigation.
