The root variety was down by ₹100 in all the markets. Turmeric sales were up in all the markets. Of the 5,500 bags that arrived about 70 per cent were sold. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,500-8,099 a quintal and root variety at ₹5,109-6,775.At the Regulated Marketing Committee the finger turmeric was sold at ₹6,899-8,029, root variety at ₹5,884-6,969.
