According to NFS members, the theme for the upcoming show will be dog flowers. Dog flower, also known as snapdragon, is a common winter flower.
“The show will be held over a weekend and visitors can purchase flowering plants, pots, tools, manure, seeds and accessories. Additionally, there will be several contests lined up ahead of the show, in which people can participate. Some contests will be held on the site during the event; but the garden competition will be held before. Prizes will be distributed on the second day of the show,” an NFS member said.
Each year, entries are made in the category of institutional gardens, educational gardens, residential gardens, terrace gardens, residential society gardens, roadside gardens maintained by individuals and government institute gardens.
“The flower show is an engaging event for the residents of Noida and has for years held the tradition of getting thousands of enthusiastic gardeners together at one place. This year, we will introduce a photography contest for visitors to the show,” the member added.
The NFS office is now located at the government nursery in Sector 8. “We have recently been given space at Sector 8. We regularly host events for gardening enthusiasts to help them pick up tips on urban gardening,” the member said.
