'Book priest, son under SC/ST Act'

Representative image JAIPUR: A lower court in Jaipur has directed the Manak Chowk Police to file an FIR against Govind Devji temple priest Anjan Kumar and his son Maanas Goswami and other, under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The court has given the direction on a petition by Susheel Kumar Badetiya. Vipul Sharma, counsel for the petitioner, said the priest and his son are running a gang of sewadars, who misbehave with the devotees on the instructions of the priest. He alleged that they abused him based on his caste. They also manhandled him.
He accused them of threatening him with a revolver and chasing his car. He said he has been a constant visitor to the temple in the mornings, for the last seven years. Due to the terror unleashed by the priest and his cohorts, he was not able to pay obeisance at the temple.
