India dismissed Pakistan’s ‘invite’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a ploy. An official said, ‘Pakistan doesn’t have discretion to invite India, as it is an integral part of the Saarc summit. Moreover, the date for a Saarc summit is finalised with consent of all the member countries and that has not happened.’
