The winners of NeuralHack were given a dream package of Rs 5 lakh per annum and a chance to work with industry stalwarts at Virtusa. This one-of-its-kind hackathon continues to develop the skills of students in technologies like Data Science, Cloud, CRM, Artificial Intelligence and IOT at the college level thus equipping them for their professional lives.
Speaking at the event, Sundararajan Narayanan, Chief People Officer, Virtusa, said students with the right talent and skill to understand and explore new technologies are preferred in organizations right now, and Virtusa provides them with an extensive platform to excel and unlock the endless scope of new-age technologies that they can benefit from.
Virtusa is providing hands-on exposure and training to the students on these technologies under the Graduate Talent Program, and by opening COEs (Centres of Excellence) at leading B-School and E-School campuses.
Meanwhile, HeadStart 2018 is an event where campus academic representatives and Virtusa come together under one roof to create a synergized environment to unravel the many elaborate needs of the industry, and also highlight opportunities and challenges from the academia.
The main objective of the event was to facilitate the NeuralHack winners who were shortlisted through multiple rounds during the competition. It also helped bolster HeadStart 2018 and facilitate the academic representatives from diverse engineering colleges across India.
