2019 Range Rover Evoque breaks cover

British marquee Jaguar Land Rover recently revealed the much anticipated second generation Range Rover Evoque in the UK. Being manufactured currently in Britain, the new Evoque brings forward Land Rover’s heritage with cutting-edge technology. This new baby SUV shares quite a few design cues with that of recently introduced Range Rover Velar.

As a result what we see on 2019 Range Rover Evoque is a coupe-like silhouette. The face upfront is more aggressive than before, this look is put together by ultra-slim Matrix LED headlamps, pronounced shoulder lines and wheel arches. Presence of 21 inch wheels, flush door handles and optional R-Dynamic details and burnished copper accepts contribute to its overall appeal.

Constructed on Land Rover’s mixed-metal Premium Transverse Architecture, the new Evoque is believed to offers more cabin space than before. Benefit of this scenario is now that the customer can get 10 percent more of boot space. Thus the overall loading space stands at 610 litres that can further be extended to 1430 litre by merely folding the rear seats down.

Land Rover products are always premium and finely crafted, thus the Evoque’s cabin stands to provide materials like Kvadrat wool blend and Dinamica suedecloth along with the optional Eucalyptus Textile and Ultra-fabrics. It also comes loaded with high-tech features such as InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with new and faster software, twin touchscreens and cabin air ionization among many others. In addition to these, New Range Rover Evoque also offers ‘Clear Sight Ground View’ technology that helps navigating your SUV though congested city roads, parking spaces and through rough terrain.

Now to the powertrain, well the New Range Rover Evoque comes fitted with a 1.5 litre, four-cylinder petrol engine compatible with a 48-volt mild-hybrid motor. The petrol unit by itself produces 197 bhp of power output with 280 Nm of peak torque. In fact the Evoque is the first vehicle in Land Rover’s product portfolio to get Smart Settings. These are based on artificial intelligence algorithms that help predict the users preferences, adjust comfort and media settings while being on the move.
