Set to take place on Wednesday, 28 November 2018, at the institution premises in Providence, students participating in the fair will be able to gain detailed information about the various roles and services offered by the airline in addition to learning about the internship opportunities available within the technical operations department.
In addition to that, students participating in the job fair will also have the opportunity to meet with key members from the airline technical operations and human resources team who will be on site to share their years of experience working with the national airline to further inspire the youths.
Sandy Benoiton, Chief Operations Officer of Air Seychelles said: “Every year as part of its internship programme Air Seychelles welcome a number of students at its premises from various institutions on Mahe and the SIT remains one of the institutions we have been closely working with for more than the past eight years to support their students with on-the-job training.
“Therefore it is an immense pleasure for us to join the recruitment fair taking place this Wednesday not only to provide information about the airline but to also share our experience with the students as role models to inspire them in their future career decisions.”
Hubert Barbe, Director of the SIT said: “Job recruitment fair organized by SIT is now an annual event, where learners who are about to complete their studies and training are introduced to potential business organizations and companies to obtain information on job opportunities.
“The SIT provides training which makes the learners job ready and it is important that they can secure employment since the demand is there on the labour market.
“SIT attaches great importance to such event and having partners from the industry to join with SIT to organize this job fair is a signal to indicate that the close partnership SIT is seeking with partners from industry is moving in the right direction”.
To further strengthen the existing relationship between the two establishments and support SIT students with training within the areas of engineering and technical operations, Air Seychelles signed a partnership agreement with the Seychelles Institute of Technology in 2016. The memorandum of understanding will be renewed by both establishment early 2019.
