Man murdered over four-year-old dispute

Surat: Athwa police booked six persons were booked for allegedly murdering a man over a four-year-old fight that had erupted between them during a volley ball match.

Bunty Kahar, a resident of Kailashnagar, was stabbed multiple times on Monday evening and he died during treatment in a private hospital. Three persons were also injured in the clash.


Police booked Vicky Patel, his brother Jaimish alias Kili, Ramesh alias Popat, Parth alias Gotu Patel, Sanjay Vasava, Babu and some unidentified persons.


Kahar was hanging out in Surji Bhagat Vadi in Kailashnagar with his friends Bipin Bhagat, Bonny Jayesh Patel and Akshay Patel when the six came there and entered into an argument over the old dispute. The argument soon turned violent and the accused attacked the four with weapons.


Kahar died due to severe injuries in the chest and stomach. “We have rounded up some suspects for their involvement in the attack. They will be arrested if found involved,” said a police officer. Police have launched a search to nab the assailants who have escaped from their homes. tnn
