HYDERABAD: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated to visit Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar districts to campaign for BJP candidates contesting for the upcoming Assembly election, five Superintendent of Police rank officers are going to supervise at each of the two venues, keeping in the view the high security threat to Modi, especially from Communist Part of India (Maoist) who are allegedly planing to target him.

At each of the venue, 1,100 police personnel are being used as part of the bandobust and already Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Special Protection Group (SGP) have taken stock of the security arrangements and all the BJP leaders who will be sharing the stage with Modi were vetted by Intelligence sleuths before giving clearance.

Sources in Telangana police told TOI that to avoid any security breach, multiple enclosures are set up by using barricades. A company of CISF and TS Special Police forces are being used by the police. Modi will first reach Nanded in Maharashtra and from there he will take a helicopter to reach Nizamabad. After completing the Nizamabad public meeting he will take a chopper and reach Mahabubnagar district. He will reach the venue by taking a short car ride from the helipad.

"A total of five Superintendent rank officers, which includes the local district SP, will supervise various security arrangements like helipad management, traffic, crowd management and others. We have considered all aspects of security threat faced by PM," sources said. Locally combing is also being done to pre-empt any Maoist attack.
