HYDERABAD: Soon after wearing Congress colours, Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said on Sunday that senior leaders like K Keshava Rao and AP Jitender Reddy are sulking within the TRS as leaders and workers have to sing paeans in praise of KCR and his son KTR and many are contemplating to quit the ruling party.

"There is no respect in the TRS for those who fought during the statehood agitation. People who joined the TRS after Telangana came into being are given prominence. Those who raised slogans of 'Jai Telangana' are now compelled to say 'Jai KCR' and 'Jai KTR'. Several top leaders talk about TRS as a private limited company," Vishweshwar alleged at a press conference here. Recalling that even the Nizam had an advisory council, the MP said finance minister Etala Rajender's plight was such that he did not have complete details of the state budget he presented in the Assembly.

Listing out the reasons as to what made him to quit TRS and join Congress, Vishweshwar said while KCR asked the party MPs to seek national status for Kaleshwaram project in the Lok Sabha, but in reality the TRS government did not send any formal letter to the Centre in this regard till now. "This clearly exposes the intentions of KCR," he said.
