Union home minister Rajnath Singh attacked the Congress saying that it has no liking and respect for simple leader like Shivraj Singh Chouhan who comes from a humble background, rather they are fond of dented, painted and scented faces. Taking potshots at Congress, Singh said that the party was not declaring its chief minister candidate as it would expose the prevailing factionalism.
Faction-ridden party would come crashing down if party declared its CM face, said BJP leader, addressing a public rally. “We have chosen Shivraj as a CM, till date the Congress is still in process of selecting its chief ministerial candidate,” he added. If Congress finds its CM face, the party would crash into pieces on the very same day, said Singh.
Canvasing for BJP candidate in the poll bound state on Sunday, Singh addressed public meetings in Naryawali of Sagar district in support of Pradeep Laria, in Ambha for Gababr Sikarwar, in Dimni for Shivmangal Tomar and in Dabra for Kaptan Singh Sahchari.
Taking a jibe at Congress leaders for their temple run, Singh said that nowadays they are making beeline at temple and shrines because they have lost all hope and are not capable to get anything on their own and thus are seeking divine intervention. That’s why they are on their knees in front of god, he quipped.
Congress was making cow and temple an election issue, while for BJP they are the part of our culture, said Singh. Claiming that Congress lacks leaders, Singh said, “Congress always says Shivraj to nahi chalega, but can any Congressmen tell me does the party has any leader who can run the state on the development path”. “
