The Sabarimala temple row and post-flood rehabilitation measures in the State are among the issues expected to top the agenda during the 13th session of the Kerala Assembly, beginning here today. The session, which will conclude on December 13, is scheduled to replace a total of 13 ordinances with respective bills.

The European Union's highest court will hear a case on the Brexit process on Tuesday. Scotland, which is opposed to Britain exiting the European Union, wants the European Court of Justice to clarify whether London can withdraw its notification to leave without permission from the EU’s other member states.

Lenders of debt-ridden Jaypee Infratech are to meet today. Five companies -- NBCC, Kotak Investment, L&T Infrastructure, Singapore-based Cube Highways and Suraksha group -- have shown interest in taking over Jaypee Infratech, which is facing bankruptcy proceedings in NCLT. Jaypee Infratech’s Interim Resolution Professional had in October initiated a fresh initiative to revive Jaypee Infratech on NCLT’s direction after lenders rejected over Rs 7,000 crore bid of Suraksha group.

The UAE will host the second edition of India-UAE Strategic Conclave. The day-long conference aims to boost the connection between the business communities of the two countries and widen the scope of bilateral investments between the two countries. The conclave will provide a platform to highlight investment potential in India and the UAE by creating awareness among investors about exciting opportunities, he said.

An Indian business delegation will arrive in Saudi Arabia on two-day visit to explore investment opportunities in the $500 billion mega city projects being executed in the  Kingdom. The tour, organised by the Economic Diplomacy Division of the External Affairs Ministry, will be led by MEA Additional Secretary Manoj Bharti.
