Cape Town - Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar enjoyed climbing Table Mountain, one of seven Wonders of Nature, while he was in Cape Town.
In his new role as CEO of Ajax Amsterdam, the 48-year-old spent a few days in the Mother City helping sister club Ajax Cape Town open the new Lambda institute for talented Urban Warrior players to combine their football education with academic skills.
During his visit, the four-time Premier League winner took the opportunity to climb Cape Town's famous Table Mountain and shared the experience on Twitter.
Van Der Sar also also went into the township of Langa meeting some of the Ajax academy players' parents and guardians.

It was quite a hike but walking up to Table Mountain was definitely an unbelievable experience yesterday in Capetown. Not as fit anymore but happy to reached the top within 1,5 hour and enjoyed the great views. pic.twitter.com/dNURmckgmp
