Long-lost childhood besties find each other after 12 years with help from Twitter

The internet is an amazing place and this story of a girl getting reunited with her long lost best friend with help from Twitter just proves this further.

Twitter helps childhood friends reunite after 12 years.

The internet is a wonderland, where one or more extraordinary things happen every single day.

In one of the best Twitter interventions till date, two long-lost best friends got reunited within twelve hours of a tweet going viral.

So, here's what happened.

Brianna Cry, a Twitter user from Mississippi posted a picture along with a long message asking Twitterati to help her find her friend from a Hawaiian cruise she went to in 2006.

This was the tweet:

Now, we know the nature of the internet. Within 12 hours of Brianna posting this message, the other girl in the picture, Heidi Tran, replied to the tweet with a very simple message.

But what touched us the most was that she posted a picture of herself holding a photo from the same cruise.

Take a look:

No, we are not crying. You are crying. This is just so sweet.

Within a few minutes of the besties getting reunited, Twitter started asking them to actually meet each other and reunite in real life too.

But, as is the problem with adulthood, there are some hindrances to the two long-lost childhood friends meeting up in person - financial issues being the first one.

They are studying in colleges on opposite sides of the country. Here is what Heidi posted about the same:

We understand the issue. Maybe the two friends will eventually find a way to meet in person, but for now, they are more than happy e-meeting and catching up on each other's life.

We love Twitter and this is the reason why!
