Khanna police recovers 900 bottles of illegal liquor from a Bolero
Shariq Majeed | TNN | Nov 26, 2018, 20:29 ISTLUDHIANA: Khanna police on Monday arrested two liquor peddlers after it recovered nine hundred bottles of liquor from a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at Harion Khurd. The accused were identified as Amrik Singh Mika of village Panjrukha and Parminder Singh Kaka of Rohno Khurd in Khanna.
Giving details, SSP Khanna, Dhruv Dahiya said that police has started a special campaign against the drug trafficking and misdemeanors. He added that during this campaign police party of Khanna Police was patrolling to check suspected vehicles and persons near village Rajewal when an informer passed information about illicit liquor being peddled. He added that after getting the information, police party setup a check post near T-point in Harion Khurd area.
Police officials said that during checking, police party stopped a Bolero Jeep bearing registration number PB-10-DZ-9842 on suspicion. They added that the occupants identified themselves as Mika and Kaka.
Cops said that during the checking of Bolero, police recovered nine hundred bottles of country made liquor. They added that the accused were booked under sections 61/1/14 of Excise Act at Sadar Police station.
