It seems like the traditional long shopping lines and doorbusters we all know as Black Friday is slowly declining.????Instead of the typical in store mall frenzy, more low income Americans are choosing online shopping.
????According to RetailNext, in store Thanksgiving and Black Friday store traffic dropped between 5 and 9% in comparison to last year.????However, measurement firm ShopperTrak found that the drop wasn’t as bad falling only about 1% since 2017.????As many stores have continued to offer better deals online, minimum to lower wage consumers are shopping on their phones.
????Adobe Analytics found that online sales for Wednesday through black friday was up 26.4% since last year, tracking sales at $12.3 billion.
????Black friday sales alone pulled in $6.22 Billion lin online sales up over 23 percent from last year.????So while traditional Black Friday shopping isn’t going away, more and more shoppers are turning to the internet for their holiday deals.??
