A man has died after being hit by a falling tree and pinned underneath it on the Gold Coast.

The Queensland Ambulance Service was called to the Ducats Road property in Tallebudgera about 9.50am, with a critical care paramedic and the high acuity response unit responding.

The man in his 60s was assessed at the scene for critical injuries but could not be saved.

Police and two fire crews also responded to the incident and assisted paramedics.
