PUNE: While the city continued to witness cloudy conditions throughout Sunday, the following days are likely to see increasingly dry weather as well as a fall in temperature.
Officials of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) shared that the weather conditions in the sea have led to an increase in moisture in the atmosphere. “It may continue for around 48 hours. After that clear skies are likely to prevail. It will have an impact on the weather and temperature,” said an official of IMD.
On Sunday, the minimum temperature in the city was higher as compared to the normal temperature. The city recorded the minimum temperature at 14.9 degrees Celsius, which was 1.5 degrees higher than the last few days. Even in Lohegaon, the minimum temperature, recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, was higher than normal by 2.5 degrees.
The met department’s daily report stated that the trough at mean sea level over Southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Maldives-Lakshadweep area has become less marked.
“A fresh Western disturbance is very likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from November 27,” said an official. He added that it may lead to a fall in the day as well as night temperatures in different districts across the state.
