Local police on Saturday arrested a builder for allegedly selling a flat to two persons in Kanadiya area. The accused was trying to flee abroad when he was arrested. The role of bank employee, who lent money for the property two times, is also being investigated by the police.
Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chouhan said local resident Vishal Pathak and credit manager of Axis Bank Neeraj Bani had given a written complaint to Kanadiya police station staff that a flat, which Pathak had bought from builder Khurshid Khan was sold to another person. The complainant came to know about it when he saw public notice published in a newspaper for the same property. He was shocked to see another person’s name as owner of the same property. Later, he lodged a complaint with police in this connection.
Kanadiya police station in-charge Anil Singh Rathore started investigation when it was revealed that Khurshid Khan and another builder Nitesh Garg inked an agreement to build a multi-storeyed building on Garg’s land situated in Bhicholi Hapsi. They had decided that all the expensed related to government formalities will be borne by Khan’s company for building construction. After that a deed was prepared in bank’s favour. The original sale deed prepared by Khan in the favour of complainant is kept in the bank.
After knowing that the flat was sold out to another person, Pathak reached lender bank and asked about the property but the employee could not give him satisfactory answer. Later, a bank employee informed him that the property, which he bought was funded two times.
