A 23-year-old woman working at a salon was attacked with a sharp object allegedly by her 60-year-old employer in south Delhi’s Greater Kailash on Saturday evening the police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Vijay Kumar said the accused has been arrested.
The police control room received a call regarding a woman who had been attacked.
When the police reached the spot, they found that the woman and the accused had entered an argument, after which the accused attacked her with a sharp object.
The victim was rushed to a private hospital. She was then referred to AIIMS, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Sources said that the woman claimed that the accused was sexually harassing her and asking her to do “odd jobs”.
The accused told the police that the woman was blackmailing her.
“The woman is out of danger now. Her statement is yet to be recorded. A case under Section 307 [attempt to murder] has been registered,” said a police officer.
