More than half of British people believe in conspiracy theories about how their country is run or have a deep distrust of authority, according to a new study.

The Guardian reported that people in the UK who supported Brexit were a lot more likely to give credence to conspiracy theories. 

Almost half (47%) of "leave" voters believed the government had deliberately concealed the truth about how many immigrants live in the UK. Watch.
