Muttemwar is heard saying, "heard saying, “Who knew him before he became the Prime Minister? Even today who knows his father’s name? Everyone knows Rahul Gandhi’s father’s name, Rajiv Gandhi. Everyone knows Rajiv Gandhi’s mother’s name, Indira Gandhi. Everyone knows Indira Gandhi’s father’s name, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. And everyone knows Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s father’s name, Motilal Nehru. Everyone knows the family since five generations. But this Narendra, just forget about him. He will now write the ‘hisab’?”
Earlier, Congress leader Raj Babbar had said that (Before becoming the prime minister) Modi used to say that compared to the (US) dollar, the value of the rupee has fallen to a level where it is almost the same as the age of the then Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh). He then went on to compare the fallen rupee value to PM Modi's mother.
Reacting to his remarks, Modi lashed out at Congress party and said that when one doesn't have issues to talk about, they resort to abusing somebody else's mother.
The Prime Minister also asked if Congress doesn't have the strength to fight Narendra Modi. "Will their deposits be saved if they abuse Modi's mother. The mother who doesn't even know 'R' of politics, who is spending her time worshiping god at home... and you drag her in politics," said Modi in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur.
