Mining department seals 3 stone crushers

MOHALI: The mining department of Mohali sealed three stone crushers at Majri block on Saturday. General manager of the mining department Baldev Singh Sandhu said all three stone crushers failed to produce documents proving legal operations of their crushers. He said action was taken following complaints against them that the crushers were being operated illegally.

He said the owners had been asked asked to produce relevant papers after which they would be allowed to resume operations of their crushers. He said they required papers for permission to operate the stone crusher, stock registers, consent to operate and NOC from the pollution board and they failed to produce any of the mentioned papers.
