ALLAHABAD: A 30-year-old youth preparing for competitive examinations at a private lodge in Allenganj committed suicide, late Friday night, after he failed to get a government job despite repeated efforts.

As per police reports, the deceased was identified as Devendra Yadav and he hung himself from a ceiling fan in his house late Friday night.


He left a suicide note addressed to his parents. The note read: I cannot disappoint my parents any more and they shouldn't be harassed for my actions.


He was rushed to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital but was declared brought dead, said inspector of Colonelganj police station."Preliminary probe indicate that Yadav was suffering from depression," said the inspector.


The deceased had come from Ghazipur to Allahabad to prepare for examinations .
